So long Farewell...

This was the scene at our house this morning, as Nate packed his car and started his 3and a half month trip to visit 7 different residency programs. His first stop Will be Oklahoma, on to Michigan, and then to Ohio. i didn't really know what to think When Ethan totally broke down the other kids held it together, until Aunt Lyndee gave them Kites, and I told them we couldn't fly them today because of the lack of wind and then it was Kate's turn she ran to her room crying I wish my dad were here, over and over again. She finally came to and I said I was sorry her dad wasn't here. and she said he can always make her kite's fly, but the best part is that she came and hugged me and said totally on her own I am sorry for freaking out!!! THAT IS HUGE is she growing up??? any way back to the pictures the one above is them waving just before they got distracted looking at a Rollie pollie so Nate was waving to me the kids were watching bugs.

This is Ethan chasing him, Oh how he will miss his dad, when I was hugging him and asking him what I can do he said learn how to catch better, NICE I catch pretty good but I guess not well enough.

Ethan got to tear the first link of our chain. So now here it is for the next few months I will be posting a picture or two every day to help Nate see what we are doing with all of our time, we no what he is doing fishing mountain biking, and golfing, oh and hanging out in a dark room for a big part of the day. So please stop in and check out what's going on in the life of 2 soccer players, 2 dancers, 2 in elementary, 2 in joy school, and a sweet baby who is along for the ride.

Sunday while the kids were telling us about there lessons, Wilson was refering to his picture, he was showing us how to be reverent during the Sacrament, Nate asked him the obvious questions what do you do with your hands, eyes, head, and then went on to say what do you do with your ears, Wilson looked at Nate and said "You wiggle them" smart kid DUH during the sacrament you definately wiggle your ears.

Update

After a long weekend of talking orange, he went with green!!! He has a couple broken bones across the top of his foot on his growth plate so he will be in a cast for 4 weeks, Yesterday we went swimming, he was quite content putting one foot in and squirting people with a water gun, He is a GOOD BOY!!! Before the cast his sister's were so happy to push him around and take care of his every need, He walks on his cast and gets around great now.

Last night Wilson and Gentry were playing on the trampoline and like they do held hands and jumped off the edge, I am guessing that Gentry jumped first, and pulled Wilson with her, resulting in this... A broken foot, actually broken metatarsal(s), nice to have Nate around when I need to understand something better in the medical field, anyway, he will receive his cast monday and we will go from there. So for now no weight on it, Kate has taken it upon herself to push him around int he doll stroller and jump to his every wish/command.

2nd grade here we come!!!

This was his first day of 1st grade picture... This is him on the last day of school same clothes, a little fadded, same smile, 3 less teeth, same eyes, they know how to read now... Almost the same boy, he has grown, reads, still can't be beat by Sarah in running races, made the A honor roll all year, made new friends, and loves math...

made friends with the cutest kids, Mikayla is at the top of the list!!! my wish is that someday they will meet again, in 20-25 years!!! The boys from his class below...boys are so goofy!!!

His WONDERFUL teachers, Mrs. Lynch left Mrs. France right, made his year unforgetable, Mrs. Lynch would come to his soccer games and cheer him on, that is a special teacher!!! Mrs. France ran right next to him cheering him on during run for the money, I'll CHEER FOR GREAT TEACHERS!!!

Nate deserves his own post, its been a year since I shared with all of you how FANTASTIC we think Nate is, but today he went where I never thought he would go, He bought the part, took it apart and fixed my oven, so please if you are in the neighborhood and you smell the most wonderful smells bellowing out of my windows, please stop by because I have 2 months of baking to catch up on. Yeah for NATE!!! he is so resourceful and handy, and he looks good while doing it, I am a lucky girl!!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!

THe 4th was GREAT!! we started the day at the Summerlin parade with Nate's family, and my mom, and then onto BBQ's and swimming at Aunt Gnomey's, the next few pictures are a few highlights!!! There isn't a better wat to celebrate a birthday than with ice cream...Happy Birthday USA!!!Thanks Granny...oh I mean... PAPA BIRD...only Grandparents could get away with this!!!

FIREWORKS!!! YES it is still light outside but when you get a handful of teenage boys in charge they were EXCITED!!! Kate feels very safe amongst her big boy cousins. Reece, Locke, Luke, Caleb, Dexter, Ike, Johnny, Kate middle. I am really not old enough to have nephews this age!!! CRAZY!!! SPARKLERS!!!
